Brittney Grimes Moore

Exercise Physiologist

Brittney graduated with a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2014. She has a particular interest in educating people on the importance of exercise in their lives and is passionate about promoting the concept of making exercise a part of your lifestyle. She is qualified to prescribe and support exercise programs based on her academic and clinical training in the disciplines of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.  Her time at Executive Health is spent focusing on each client’s resources, capabilities and personal health and fitness goals and giving her clients educational tools that help them better understand their bodies, stay motivated and enjoy a better quality of life.

Anna Kirby

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with people to help them recognize their natural capacity to move towards health and wellness.  Anna is a former professional classical singer and brings a love of individual creativity and the arts to her work at Duke Executive Health.  Anna is dedicated to teaching others how somatic awareness can relieve stress in daily life.   Anna holds Master’s Degrees in both Social Work and Music Performance. 

Angela (Ann) Barber

Patient Account Associate and Referral Specialist

Ann has over 30 years’ experience with the Duke Health System. Her goal is to provide exceptional customer service within our Duke Executive Health Program and to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care. She supports our physicians in addition to the registration, scheduling and referrals functions of our program. Ann has acquired a large network of resourses throughout our organization and take great pride in assisting our patients to ensure they obtain their desired appointments during their visits. She strives to make sure we meet and exceed patient satisfaction in every way.

Jared Barbee

Transportation Specialist

Jared is a native of Durham, NC. He provides exceptional customer service, care and attention like none other.  Jared takes great pride in providing patients with safe travel for our patients who request additional service that require them to travel offsite for ancillary appointments. He eliminates the hassle of navigating a world renowned medical center campus. Jared goes above and beyond on a daily basis as he aids in check in as well as supporting our administrative team with scheduling needs.  He is known by many as the face of Duke Executive Health.

Christa Rutledge

Patient Account Associate and Scheduling Coordinator

Christa is a talented healthcare administration professional with 20 plus years Hospital and Private Practice experience.  In 2013 and 2015 Christa received Duke's Strength Hope & Caring award  for her outstanding customer service support with her focus on patient satisfaction along with the attention to detail she provides in her supporting role.  As Scheduling Coordinator with Executive Health, Christa uses her strong focus on patient wellness to listen and take action on special request, as she schedules each patient’s day specific to their needs.

Ann Taylor, BSN, RN

Registered Nurse, Patient Navigator, Marketing Support

Ann graduated from Duke University with a BSN in 1984. Ann has had an exceptionally varied nursing career. 

Ann has worked as a medical ICU nurse, a general medicine nurse, a nurse consultant in the law field and a school nurse. She has enjoyed working at Duke Executive health as an RN and supporting marketing initiatives since 2006.  

Karen Bean, RD, LDN

Registered Dietitian 

Karen is a Registered/Licensed Dietitian (RD, LDN) with over 20 years of experience.  She received her undergraduate degree from NC State in Biological Science (BS) with a concentration in Nutrition.  Karen has a Master of Public Health in Nutrition from UNC-CH.  Karen has worked in a variety of settings from employee health and wellness programs to residential weight loss programs.  She enjoys being active by playing tennis, walking and doing yard work.  Her beliefs around nutrition and health are all foods can fit in moderation with a strong emphasis on whole foods.  She enjoys being healthy and wants to enjoy life. Karen believes it is important to work with clients to help them find what works for them and be realistic for lifestyle changes to occur. Clients need to be mindful of all aspects of life -- mental, physical, spiritual and social.  

Tammy Welsh, RN 

Program Coordinator 

Tammy graduated from Patrick Henry Community College in Virginia with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She is now attending University of Mount Olive where she will earn her BSN. Tammy has worked as a Registered Nurse for 14 years. She has worked in various nursing settings such as Endoscopy, Outpatient Surgery/PACU, Public Health, Geriatrics, and Emergency Department. Tammy joined the Duke Health Team in October 2016 after moving to North Carolina with her husband. As Coordinator of Executive Health, Tammy feels honored to get to know each of her patients, interact with them and share her knowledge of nursing.
